Description:

“Ephemeral + Eternal” was a collaborative conceptual live calligraphy performance by Aoi Yamaguchi and a Tokyo-based sound artist Corey Fuller (Illuha / 12K), performed at Ice Hills Hotel in Tobetsu, Hokkaido. Inside of a hut-shaped bar lounge all made of ice and snow, even the chandelier, bar table and cocktail glasses, everything is “ephemeral, transient, impermanent” – that will all melt away and disappear in the Springtime. “Ephemeral + Eternal” was written by a large brush on a sheer fabric illuminated by the light, accompanied by Corey’s ambient sound beautifully transforming this intimate space into a sublime dream, frozen in time.
